Jacquenette has served Gresham for 30 years.
1995
She began her service to Gresham by writing letters to her neighbors.
At the time, Gresham Fire Station 72 was due to close because of budget cuts. By sending letters out to her neighbors and encouraging them to raise their concerns at the City Council, Fire Station 72 was saved.
Feeling inspired, Jacquenette sought more ways to serve her community and began training in 1995 to become a Neighborhood Mediator for the City of Gresham, which she continued through 1998.
2002
She ran for Gresham City Council and served 4 years in office.
It was during her term that Gresham began their 20-year Urban Renewal Plan, of which Jacquenette served as a Commissioner.
2008
She became a City of Gresham Planning Commissioner.
1998
She was appointed to the Citizen Police Advisory Committee.
Appointed in 1998 and serving a total of 5 years, Jacquenette became Chair of the committee in 1999.
That same year, she worked with fellow CPAC members, Gresham police officers, and the city’s attorney’s office to bring forward a new ordinance to council — the “Road Rage Ordinance.”
Gresham Revised Code 7.10.200 Aggressive Driving (1999) was the first of its kind in Oregon, Multnomah County and the State later adopting a similar ordinance.
2007
She served on the Gresham Blue Ribbon Task Force for Public Safety.
She joined the Metro Regional Government Financial Oversight Committee.
She joined Our Just Future (formerly Human Solutions) Board of Directors.
